I’ve been interested in art as well as fashion for pretty much my entire life, with my earliest notebooks from school filled more with doodles than with whatever the teacher was saying. I started using watercolors to illustrate four years ago and haven’t stopped since. I especially enjoy creating runway inspired looks as well as doing portraits, including of people who’s style I’ve just been eyeballing on the street. I like to think I stay true to the subjects of my work even when adding fantasy elements.
My work has been shown at the National Arts Club in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park neighborhood as well as at Proto Gallery/Project Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey as part of the Hoboken Artists Studio Tour. You can also find new illustrations posted regularly on my blog (sabinamollot.com).
I’m honored to be part of ArtFront Galleries in Newark as I do believe art and creative people are key to keeping neighborhoods interesting and thriving.
