The summer may represent the doldrums for most of the art community, but not for Artfront Galleries. We are planning several exciting exhibits throughout the summer. The first is a solo show by Robyn Thompson called Dream Projects. The opening reception will be Friday, June 15, at the gallery space located at 372 Broad Street in Newark, from 6 to 9 PM.
Dream Projects is based on the mystery of dreaming. Participants in her project wrote down dreams they had while sleeping. They interpreted the dream with an illustration that captures its meaning. RoByn then used her painterly skills to paint the dream on the participants’ faces and photographed them The photographs and the written dreams are then displayed together.
