The importance of social media in promoting art projects
The importance of social media in promoting art projects may sound very obvious but you would be surprised how many artists do not avail themselves of this opportunity. In recent days this was reconfirmed to Artfront Galleries in a big way. Followers of this website and our page on Facebook know that we will be producing five multi week nonprofit pop-up art galleries this fall. All of these galleries will participate in the Newark Arts Council 2016 Open Doors art crawl. This will require about 40 artists and over 100 pieces of art.
Artfront Galleries has a core group of artists that we have worked with over the past several years. However we felt this was the opportunity to cast a wider net and attract new local artists with different voices. The last several weeks Artfront Galleries has conducted a concerted call for artists primarily using Facebook. We are very encouraged by the response. We still have openings for artists in all media. If you are interested please send images of your work to www.ArtfrontGalleries@Gmail.com. Stay tuned to this website as we share the many new faces that will be part of Urban Evidence II this Fall.
